IP DirectConnect

IP DirectConnect is Gamma’s SIP Trunking service and is one of the first true IP transit services on the market, connecting your site directly into the Gamma network using an IP backbone enabling you to have full PSTN connectivity.

Gamma Telecom is the leading carrier of the Carrier Pre selection (CPS) service, which provides its customers with access to our voice services. There are considerable cost savings to be made if all calls are passed over the Gamma Telecom network.

How Does It Work?

The IP Phone (Cisco) or the ATA (Cisco) come pre-configured and are very easy to use. The featureplus.com website opens up access into a brand new world where you are in control (or you) of what happens to their telephone calls – be it Call Handling or Call Management.

Calls are routed over your broadband connection through the Gamma Telecom network, so you will benefit from our lower calling costs.

Couple this with FREE site to site calls and you will see a reduction of their telephone bills and yet improved functionality with their service.

Gamma's commitment to reducing carbon emissions has also been realised through the investment in IP based soft-switching in their core network. This software driven environment uses far less power than more traditional hardware infrastructures and continued investment in this technology has enabled us to reduce the mean power consumption per minute carried each year, even as call traffic has increased over the same time.

How Does Greenminutes Work?

Each year, Gamma’s carbon footprint is independently assessed by a company called Greenstone Carbon Management who looks at the amount of energy used in transporting minutes across the Gamma network.

Working with The CarbonNeutral Company to offset this carbon footprint, Gamma purchases carbon credits. Every 1 tonne of CO2 is ‘neutralised’ by 1 tonne which is saved somewhere else in the world by a climate friendly project that would not have happened without carbon credit investment.

The combination of much lower annual power consumption with our carbon offset programme means that customers are using the greenest network in the UK.
